Rules Summary

Starting the first week of your pool, pick the team that will win its game straight up (no point spreads) for every game on the Saturday NHL schedule.

If the team you picked wins, including the overtime and shootout results if necessary, then you earn one point. If the team you picked loses, then you earn zero points.

Points are tracked weekly and overall for the season.

Important Points

Weekly Pick Deadline

The final pick deadlines for each week of the 2021-22 season, all times Eastern, are as follows:

In weeks with games scheduled earlier than the above deadlines, these games should be selected but picks must be submitted before puck drop of that game. This deadline applies to all remaining games for the week.

Default Pick

There are no default picks assigned for this pool. If no picks are submitted prior to the deadline for some of all of the games that week, then the entry receives zero points for those games.

Alternate Pick Submission

If you are having difficulty submitting your pick online, then send the pick by email to mike@myofficepool.ca. Make sure to clearly state the name of the pool, your username, entry number, week of the pool and picks. The email must be received time stamped prior to the deadline and from the email account associated with your username.

We take no responsibility for email being delayed past the deadline or not being delivered. Everyone should use the online system to make their picks and only send an email in the case of an emergency.

Terms and Conditions

This contest, named the Mike's $25 Entry NHL Pick'em II Hockey Pickem, is considered a contest of skill. The winner is determined by the objective criteria provided in the contest rules described above. From all entries received, the winner is determined by the individual who uses their skill, knowledge and analysis of relevant hockey information to result in the most correct picks to survive the longest.

The contest is operated for entertainment purposes. Chances of winning this contest depend on the total number of eligible entries.

There are two methods to join this contest, by purchasing a Premium Access Entry or by submitting a Restricted Access Entry.

Premium Access Entry

A Premium Access Entry to this contest entitles the purchaser to become a registered member of this website, and allows use of the online system to submit and edit their picks up to the deadline each week, receive pick confirmation emails after submitting their picks, and review the contest results and stats for the length of the contest. Each Premium Access Entry purchase includes one entry ticket in the contest. There is no limit on the number of Premium Access Entries an individual member can purchase, to the extent of the limited number of Premium Access Entries still available for the contest. Each Premium Access Entry is $25. Canadian residents please add $3 for HST ($28 total).

Restricted Access Entry

A Restricted Access Entry to this contest does not allow for the benefits of the Premium Access Entry. There is no access to the contest results and stats before, during or after the contest, and no ability to submit picks online or on a weekly basis. There is a maximum of one Restricted Access Entry allowed per household, as determined by MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. To request a Restricted Access Entry, send by regular mail your full name, address, phone number, email address, and picks for each week of the NFL regular season and playoffs (the potential length of the contest), to MyOfficePool.ca, Inc., 15 Spencer Drive, Barrie, Ontario L4N 0Y9. A valid Restricted Access Entry must be received prior to the last Friday before the pool entry deadline to be eligible for the contest.

Minimum Entries

A minimum of 60 Premium Access Entries must be sold or MyOfficePool.ca, Inc., at its discretion, may cancel the contest prior to the deadline. In the event of the contest being cancelled, all paid Premium Access Entries will be fully refunded.

Eligibility

This contest is open to Ontario residents who are legal age of majority, and residents of other jurisdictions where it is considered legal. Participants are required to determine if they are eligible in accordance with their local laws. The contest is void for residents where it is prohibited by law. Residents of the United States are not eligible to participate. Owners, employees and immediate family members of MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. are not eligible to participate.

Prizes

Prizes are awarded in Canadian dollars. Taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the contest winner(s). A mathematical skill-testing question is required to be answered prior to the awarding of prizes.

Appropriate identification is required prior to the awarding of any prizes to ensure the correct member receives their prize. In the event of dispute about the identity of any entrant, entries made online are declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner can be required to provide proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.

Internet/Technology Problems

If, for any reason, this contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of entries. MyOfficePool.ca, Inc. is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant"s computer related to or resulting from participation in this contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, MYOFFICEPOOL.CA, INC. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws, and to the contest rules, and cannot be used in connection with any form of gambling.
