Welcome to the Euro 2008 Pool!In this pool you need to predict the 1st and 2nd place finishers in each of the four groups. Following the group stage, predict the teams to advance through the quarter-finals, semi-finals and what team will win the Euro 2008 Championship.

The deadline to enter is kickoff of the opening game, Switzerland vs. Czech Republic on Saturday June 7, 2008 at 12:00pm Eastern (18:00 Central Europe Time).
Rules Summary
1. Pick the teams you expect to finish 1st and 2nd in all 4 groups from the opening round Group Stage of Euro 2008.
2. After the Group Stage is decided, return to the website to pick the teams you expect to advance from the Quarter-Finals to the Semi-Finals.
3. After the Quarter-Finals are decided, return to the website a final time to pick the winners of the Semi-Finals and Final. The Semi-Finals and Final are picked at the same time.
4. You will earn points each round of the tournament for selecting the correct teams to advance. Points are awarded according to the following table:

Group Stage Alternate Points: If the team you pick to finish 1st in its Group actually finishes 2nd, then you score 1 point for correctly predicting that team to advance to the Quarter-Finals. Similarly, if the team you pick to finish 2nd in its Group actually finishes 1st, then you score 1 point. To clarify, if you have both correct teams advancing to the Quarter-Finals from a group, but in the wrong order, then you score 2 points instead of the maximum 5 available. | |||||||||||||||
5. Contestants will be ranked and winners declared after the Euro 2008 Final based on total points from highest to lowest.
Important Points
Picks Deadline
The deadline for submitting your picks is prior to the start of the first game each round (Group Stage, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals). The opening game of the Group Stage is Saturday June 7th at 12:00pm Eastern. No picks can be submitted after the deadline.
Point Scoring
Each team that you pick to advance a particular round of the tournament does not need to be playing the team you predicted them to face for you to score points for the win.
Alternate Picks Submission
If you are having difficulty submitting your picks online, then send the picks by email to mike@myofficepool.ca. Make sure to clearly state your user name, entry and picks. The email must be received time stamped prior to the deadline. We take no responsibility for email being delayed past the deadline or not being delivered. Everyone should use the online system to make their picks and only send an email in the case of an emergency.
Multiple Winners
If more than one person ties for the standings, then the prize for that place (or places) in the standings is divided equally amongst the winners.
