Rules Summary
1. Pick the team you expect to advance from each pairing in the Round of 16.
2. For each pairing, input the aggregate goals scored by the team you expect to advance. Penalty shot goals scored during regular play count towards the aggregate. Shootout goals only count as a single goal scored by the shootout winning side.
3. After the Round of 16 is decided, return to the website to complete the same steps for the Quarter-Finals. After the Quarter-Finals are decided, return to the website to complete the same steps for the Semi-Finals and Final. The Semi-Finals and Final are picked together at the same time.
4. You will earn points each round of the tournament for selecting the correct team that advances and bonus points for the accuracy of the aggregate goals scored. Points are awarded according to the following tables:

Aggregate Goals Scored Example: You predict Chelsea to advance from the Round of 16 over Juventus, and guess Chelsea will score 4 goals in the two games. If Chelsea wins and scores exactly 4 goals in the two games, then you earn 3 points for picking the correct team to advance, plus 5 bonus points for guessing the goals scored exactly right. If Chelsea scores 3 or 5 goals in the two games, then your goal difference is 1. You will score 3 for picking the correct team to advance, plus 3 bonus for being 1 off guessing the goals. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
4. Contestants will be ranked and winners declared after the Champions League Final based on total points from highest to lowest.
Important Points
Pick Deadline
The deadline for submitting your picks is prior to the start of the first game each round (Round of 16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals). The Round of 16 deadline is Tuesday February 24th at 2:45pm Eastern (8:45pm Central Europe). No picks can be submitted after the deadline.
No Picks Submitted
If no picks are submitted prior to the deadline, then a score of 0 (zero) will be assessed for that round of games.
Point Scoring
Each team that you pick to advance a particular round of the tournament does not need to be playing the team you predicted them to face for you to score points for the win. Bonus points for aggregate goals are only scored if you have the correct team advancing the round.
Alternate Picks Submission
If you are having difficulty submitting your picks online, then send the picks by email to mike@myofficepool.ca. Make sure to clearly state your user name and picks. The email must be received time stamped prior to the deadline. We take no responsibility for email being delayed past the deadline or not being delivered. Everyone should use the online system to make their picks and only send an email in the case of an emergency.
Multiple Winners
If more than one person ties for the standings, then the prize for that place (or places) in the standings is divided equally amongst the winners.
